There are many ways you can help Tangi Humane Society whether it is by donating money, volunteering, or bringing supplies, there is always a way you can help.
Monetary donations go a long way, being a 501(c)(3) organization means that Tangi Humane Society is funded entirely by donations. We do not receive funding from goverments local or otherwise, and we do not receive donations from any other humane society organizations. One of the easiest ways to donate is by visiting the homepage of the website and looking for the Paypal donate button. You can also mail your donations to the address below:

If you shop on Amazon.com, you can purchase items through http://smile.amazon.com/ and select Tangi Humane Society, a portion of the amount you spend will be donated to us through Amazon's Smile program.
We are grateful for any supplies that can be brought to us. This includes items like dog/puppy food, cat/kitten food, toys, bowls, blankets, anything that can be used to care for the adoptables. If you have extra supplies you'd like to bring over give us a call at the office 985-419-9900. You can also look at our Amazon.com wishlist to get an idea of things we need, if you purchase any items through the following link, it will ship them directly to us: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/?ie=UTF8&cid=A3I35QMIJJ5YW2
In order of least involved to most, areas we need help in are:
Dishwashing and Yard Cleaning
This involves washing dirty bowls and picking up toys and things in the yard where the dogs run. This takes about an hour and can be done anytime when we're open between 10am to 5pm
One thing we always need help with is laundry, this involves taking a load of dirty laundry, washing it, and bringing it back the next day or in a few days.
We give the dogs baths every Friday before Adoption Day on Saturday and volunteers are always welcome.
This involves cleaning litterboxes and crates in the cat room, it takes about 2 hours and there are morning as well as evening shifts.
This involves bringing each dog out into the play yard and cleaning the kennel. This takes about 4 hours and is done in morning shifts. (Volunteers must be 18 years or older in order for kennel cleaning.)
